
Art Affair on Kemp Square is a two-day art festival on the fenced tree shaded grounds of The Kemp Center for the Arts 1300 Lamar, Wichita Falls, Texas. The Kemp is a landmark historic building (C.1917) on a downtown city block, that underwent a $2.6 million renovation and opened in March of 2002.
Exhibition space at this festival is available for artists and is a juried show. There will also be a sidewalk chalk fest around the grounds for children and young adults. Festival food and parking are available.

Side Walk Chalk Fest:
There will be a sidewalk chalk area within the grounds open to children and youth. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Please contact the Kemp Center for the Arts for more information.
Awards:
The festival provides $4,000 in purchase awards and $1200 in booth awards.
Facilities:
Electricity is available but is limited so please request such at time of application. Running water is available. Public rest rooms are inside Art Center and portable toilets will also be available. Parking will be on surrounding streets and in an off site location with trolleys transporting visitors. There will be security on the grounds on Friday nights, during the festival, and on Saturday night after closing hours. However, vendors are responsible for the security of their goods and the Kemp accepts no responsibility for stolen or damaged property, accidents or injury.
Set Up:
Exhibitors and Food vendors will be responsible for all booth structures, set-up and furnishings, e.g., extension cord, signage, drapes, etc. Booths must be ready to open at 10:00 am on Saturday. Artists are responsible for dismantling and cleaning spaces before leaving on Sunday. There will be no parking allowed inside the grounds although artists and vendors may drive into grounds to set up.
Additional Guidelines:

Placement of the booths will be at the discretion of the committee unless special arrangements are needed and are requested in advance.

No participant will be allowed to set-up without a signed and dated application and liability release.

The Kemp reserves the right to revoke or refuse to grant space at any time, without recourse by the participant. The Committee shall not be liable to anyone for this action.

No booth space will be granted to those wishing to express religious, moral or political opinions.

Signage for each booth will be limited to the group or business name only.

Participants may display or sell only the items that have been specifically approved by the Committee.

Inclement weather will not be grounds for refund.

No boom boxes or recorded music will be allowed in booth areas.

No exclusive rights for the sale of any item will be granted.

The Kemp Center has the exclusive right to the sale of alcohol, bottled water and soft drinks during the event.

Sponsored by Design Works. An art spree and sale to benefit the Kemp Center for the Arts. This event will kick off the second annual Art Affair on Kemp Square. Artwork from 100 regional artists will be displayed in the NorthLight Gallery and may be viewed and bid upon at the Opening reception on Friday, September 14. Each piece will be displayed anonymously--only when you purchase the piece will you discover who created it...it's wicked and fabulous!
